Biren Ghose is the Country Head in India for Technicolor, a US $5 billion global arts and sciences leader involved in digital content technology and production services in animation VFX and post for the media & entertainment industry. He is an acknowledged industry leader in India in government policy formulation, & advancing education. His vision is to make visual communications & the arts an agent of change in community development and social economic upliftment. Biren has been responsible for building up the India studio - a primary hub for Technicolor’s global leadership. The portfolio is driven through innovative technologies in immersive media such as AR/VR, virtual production, etc. The India studios now have over 5500 artists and technicians. In Animation, the studio has won 7 Emmy Awards in the past 8 years. Productions include Mickey Mouse Roadsters; Kung Fu Panda; Penguins of Madagascar; Alvin & the Chipmunks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Boss Baby and many others.  In Film Visual Effects (VFX), MPC Film, Bangalore and Mr. X VFX, have worked on several Oscar winning and nominated features including The Jungle Book, Life of Pi, Shape of Water and Blade Runner 2049. A new release is the billion dollar blockbuster Disney’s The Lion King. MPC Advertising and The Mill are 2 VFX brands within the Technicolor portfolio that specialize in advertising and other forms of pioneering visual narrative. Bangalore itself participates in the content creation of over 700+ commercials annually for the worlds biggest brands. Biren is a reputed marketing and business strategist having worked across a wide vista of industries. His passions include collecting art and music (predominantly jazz). His hobbies include playing the guitar, tennis, F1 motor sport and photography. He is working to create thought leadership in the areas of corporate social responsibility and positioning the audio visual sector as a major services player for India.
