Mrs. Atreyee Borooah Thekedath holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Central Queensland University, Australia.
After a brief stint at Hewlett Packard Pte Ltd. in Singapore as an I.T. Solutions Specialist, she quit to start her own company, Web.Com (India) Pvt. Ltd. in 1999, one of Assam’s reputed software companies.
Atreyee is an alumna of the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Program for Women Entrepreneurs and was nominated for the coveted Fortune/U.S. State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership Program. She is a member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Jabalpur under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
She is also an Academic Council member of Assam Women’s University, Jorhat.
She was an Independent Director at Balmer Lawrie, a Mini-Ratna-I Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India from Jan 2017 to Jan 2020.
She was a National Council member of CII’s Young Indians and has successfully executed several projects during her tenure.
She has been involved with the start-up community in various capacities like mentoring and being a jury member in several pitches like the recent Chief Minister's E-Champion Challenge Programme, Meghalaya and Pitch Hatch 2.0 , initiative by Assam Startup-The Nest &IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. As a Nasscom member too she has been a jury member for the Thrive 30 Pitch.
