Consultative meeting with stakeholders for CoEs in Agartala, Kohima & Aizawl
A consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of Shri Rajiv Kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) on 29.01.2020 in Agartala. In the meeting Shri Rajiv Kumar, Joint Secretary, MeitY, Govt. of India narrated about the initiatives taken by MeitY, Govt. of India for development of Northeastern region. He stated that although MeitY, Govt. of India has planned to set up CoEs in all the Northeastern States, based on the preparedness of the locations, availability of resources, space, startup ecosystem and the problems statements generated implementation of the CoEs has been undertaken in a phased manner, which will help in improving programme designs so as to minimize the risk and better roll out. He expected to link the CoEs in the Northeast with other CoEs in Tier-I cities for handholding, networking with bigger companies and angel networks so that the startups through the Northeastern CoEs can be benefited from the MeitY Startup Hub.
